This experimental performance piece The Singularity will incorporate abstract visuals, original music, lights, props, radical performance art, and audience interaction as it tells the story of a Man who undergoes a radical transformation as he enters the next stage of human evolution. The Man represents a generation grown up with social media, pandemics, political scandals, recession, and hopelessness. We observe his 200+ year life as he goes from a lonely and disillusioned young man trapped in an overbearing and broken system, to a hybrid-human fused with biotechnology, microchips, AI, and nanobots who is granted everything he ever desired, but is nonetheless still trapped within his own mind. After a catastrophic global event that strips away the technology that he and the rest of humanity have come to desperately depend on, destroying modern society in the process, his people must seek out a new land across the sea where they can plant the seeds of a new civilization.
